I’m not sure if you’re like me, but I tend to dress for comfort over anything else. When I’m out shopping, I might pick up a dress that looks really cute, but it seems super uncomfortable, tight, short, exposed, etc, and I rarely ever end up buying it. I don’t want to be pulling at or adjusting my outfit all day and night. I’d rather put something on… and boom! No fuss, no thinking about it.
When I found this striped mini dress on Forever21.com a few weeks ago ($14.90!!), it was a no brainer. It’s got the right amount of coverage so I can wear it to work or dress it up a little if I wanted to.
You can’t really see it here, but this does have long sleeves (perfect for the frigid temperatures of my office).
Again, out of comfort, I paired this look with my brown suede booties (similar here) and a light jean jacket (similar here). With our LA “winter”, I haven’t needed a jacket much heavier than this. My bag is from True Religion Brand Jeans and is an oldie but goodie (similar here).
My coin necklace is from Sequin, and I was able to hand pick the charms last time I saw them for market week. A perk of the job that I love!! The key necklace is from The Giving Keys and was actually a gift I gave to Rob, before he recently gave it back to me. It has “DREAM” engraved on it and reminds me everyday to do just that. And it’s also nice to carry a little bit of Rob with me wherever I go (awwwww…).
