Whoo! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Between our baby news and the holidays, I just didn’t have it in me. But, between the second trimester energy boost and the feeling of a new year fresh start, I’ve got high hopes for what is to come on Worship Worthy!
I really thought that my style wouldn’t change much once I got pregnant, but I am finding it a little challenging. I started to show early (or so it seems) and I was not feeling comfortable in my regular jeans. They buttoned, but man, they were tight. And I have a closet full of dresses I would love to wear, but it’s January and I would be freezing. So, I gave into maternity jeans and leggings. BEST decision ever. I didn’t go crazy, but I bought a few pairs to get me through the next couple of months.
Besides, jeans, I’ve been shopping my own closet and have been trying to get creative with what still fits. This skirt was something I bought from Nasty Gal over a year ago, but it’s still a fav! I spent some time trying on different tops and shoes with it to see what works and what options I already have at my fingertips. I thought it would be fun to show some styling options to showcase how highlight how versatile a satin midi skirt can be.
Styling Ideas I love:
*A band tee, denim jacket, sneakers
*A chunky sweater, booties
(Tips for both- wear a sports bra and tuck the bottom of the tee or the sweater into it underneath. This gives you the cropped effect and make the look more polished, instead of sloppy.)
