Guys, I was about to be the best blogger and actually have this posted in time for you to BUY MY DAMN SHORTS BEFORE THEY SOLD OUT. But I failed you. Yet again….. I’m SOWWY. Ugh. I swear when I started writing this post, they were still available online in all sizes. I s-w-e-a-r. But then I checked, and bam, they’re gone. I bet everyone scooped them up for Coachella. FACK.
However, to try and make it up to you, I did lots and lots of digging to try and find you an alternative option. And I think I found some goodies. OR, maybe this will give you some inspo anyways, or maybe you have similar paperbag waist shorts in your closet and you’re thinking “WTF do I wear with these?”. I got you, boo!
When I bought these shorts, I LOVED them, but also was thinking, “hmmm…not exactly sure how to style them. I’ll figure something out.” And then they sat in my closet for like 3 weeks (it was also too cold to be bearing so much skin). BUTTTT, I found a spark of inspiration and came up with four super cute ways to style these. And by all means, add some heels to any of these options if you feel like being a little more fancy. Know what I mean?
*TOP- just a basic black tee (or bodysuit like in my case). Simple, done.
*SHOES- Vans, sneakers, sneaks, whatever.
**TIP- this could easily be worn to a casual event, just like this, or add some black heels and a cute blazer and you’re ready to go to a nice dinner! Fancy in .02 seconds.
*TOP- cobalt blue bodysuit. I just love the way this color looks with Black. You can do any color, really, but I think this is a cute combo.
*SHOES- white converse. Again, easy. I also just like the way a white sneaker looks with this. Helps to brighten it up, overall!
*TOP- ACDC graphic tee. You can use any graphic tee really. I’ve been into band tees lately and I think pairing the black shirt with these shorts makes it feel a little edgy. This would also be cute with another color- like white or red!
*SHOES- Black booties. I wear these all the time- so versatile. You could also wear some black vans with this look too, and it’d be super cute!
*TOP- plain white tee. You’ve probably got 4 in your dresser right now. On top, I just added a camo jacket. I like the color combo and that it makes this feel much more casual, but you could also wear a denim jacket and have the same effect.
*SHOES- Converse for the win. With the tee and jacket, I wanted this option to be easy and casual so the sneaker makes sense. The white is also a nice match back to the white shirt and doesn’t make it feel as dark as it would with a black sneaker. Know what I mean? Great.
I hope you liked this look, and maybe are feeling inspired to rock some paperbag shorts of your own!
