The 90’s were an interesting time for fashion and they’reeeee back! The fashion was definitely better than the 80’s in my opinion (bye-bye shoulder pads), and like things always do, the trends are back in full force. You can see 90’s influence everywhere now and I’m kind of loving it, if done in the right way. Bryan and I were shooting some looks the other weekend and I put this outfit together basically on accident, but it’s one of my favorites as of late.
Because we’re not able to go out anywhere, I swear it makes it harder to get dressed when we actually do. I’m in sweatpants or loungewear 24/7 (aren’t we all) and I really do miss my jeans! I bought these from Zara months ago and although I’m obsessed, I never wear them. Putting them on for these photos, I vowed I would put these into my regular rotation. My go-to’s are always stretchy skinny jeans, but these are equally as comfy. The baggy fit is freeing, honestly… LOL.
My favorite fashion trends from he 90’s that I’m wearing today:
Wide Leg Jeans
Flannel Shirts
Band Tees
Beanies
Plaid
Pleated mini skirts
Sneakers
Crop tops
Doc Martins
Velvet
Mini Dresses
Quirky Jewelry- smiley faces, peace signs, ying-yangs, colorful beads
I think this outfit is one of the easiest ways to play with the 90’s trends thats wearable. I don’t like to go overboard, but putting a wide leg jean, with a band tee and a basic hoodie is so simple. For example, add a beanie or another simple accessory (like a mini-bag, or a platform boot, if you’re into those) as the 90’s cherry on top!

The 90’s trends that I’m NOT on board with (these all make me want to barf):
Sweater Vests
Tiny purses
Dad sneakers
Mini sunglasses
Loafers
