I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while now, and I feel like every time I log into Instagram I’m reminded of it again. Social media has been changing a lot recently (I mean, it’s really ever evolving and there are constant updates) and I’ve got SO many thoughts and feelings about it. Rob and I were talking about all of the various platform updates when we were driving back from Big Sur, and it solidified my feeling that I needed to make a post about it all.
I’m usually not one to show very much skin. You’ll rarely find me wearing anything with a plunging neckline, or open back. If anything, I’ll rock a mini skirt and show some leg instead! I don’t know why really, I guess it’s just never been my jam. Conservative in that sense, I suppose.
Lionette NY is a brand I love and have been following them online and on Instagram for a while now. The brand was started in 2009 by two best friends, Noa Sade and Vanessa Lee. How awesome would it be to start a jewelry line with your best friend?
“Lionette was born with the vision of creating a brand and a collection that was both glamorous and unique, that would stand out in the industry and be the perfect accessory for any occasion, day or night.”
They have managed to create uber glam jewels, with a tribal spin- something not easy to master! Their styles can be found at various boutiques around the country and you can buy online! See more on their website here.
This necklace would look great over a plain t-shirt, or with a plunging v-neck dress. Oh-la-la!
Updated version of the bolo tie? A little bit Southern charm, a little bit glam!
Feeling a little punk rock? I’m slightly obsessed with this spotted moonstone. Isn’t it gorgeous?
Tribal is a trend that comes around every year, like clockwork. These earrings are perfect for summer!
Have you tried the hand jewelry trend? There are several ways to rock it; this is definitely on the bolder side!
You can also follow them on Instagram. They post pretty rad photos of their stuff, like this one!
What is StringHeart exactly? Well, it’s the art you see in the picture above. And that’s my friend Laura (@supervandie). I’ve been making these pieces every once in a while for the past couple years, but Rob really saw something special in it. So we started talking more about it, and one day, the StringHeart name was born! We created the Instagram account as a way to say “this is something we believe in and we’d love to share it.” Since then, we’ve created some new pieces, posted pictures and even sold three!
We have lots of fun in the bebe office and sometimes that means we play dress up in the non-apparel goodies and take lots of pictures with our social media manager, Kenna! We’ll bring tons of jewelry, shoes, bags, etc, outside to the garden and snap away.
The other day Kenna posted this picture of some incredible bebe heels that are coming to stores soon and she just happened to feature my little toes as well. What do you think? There were lots of positive comments on Instagram and even a funny where someone thinks my heels are dry. HA!
