Whoa… It’s been WAY too long since my last blog post. I can’t believe it! Sometimes life gets crazy, you know? But I have made a promise that I was going to blog more and finally launch the shop, so that’s what I am going to do. Making the statement here and now. It’s been in the works, and is almost ready! There have been some technical snags along the way (making a website is NOT easy, in case you are wondering), but it’s coming soon!
Anyways, this last weekend was a GREAT one and I wanted to share some some pictures of the adventure.
Our friend Athena came to town to visit and on Saturday we ventured out to Malibu to check out Malibu Farm on the Pier for lunch (closer to “linner” by the time we got there but whatever).
The views were incredible and the food was unreal…
Rob and I took a trip to Upstate New York for his best friend’s wedding a few weekends ago and we had a TON of fun so I wanted to share the photos of our trip with you. Also- if you read this ENTIRE post, there will be a lovely surprise at the end (hint- my boyfriend makes a great JT).
For our first night we had a bonfire at the Groom’s house- I can’t remember the last time I got to sit by a fire with friends and make smores.
The next day we got up and the boys went golfing– I was Rob’s driver and caddy, even though I couldn’t tell the difference between the clubs. Then we went to the wedding rehearsal and dinner– I loved hanging out getting to know all of Rob’s best friends and hearing about their childhood shenanigans.
Once dinner wrapped up, we went to play some mini golf (because nine holes of golf in the morning just didn’t cut it). We had a blast and our team won (obviously!).
The next day was the day of the wedding so Rob was up bright and early to partake in “groomsmen duties”. The ceremony was beautiful, short and sweet. Adrianne looked incredible and Ben was very handsome!
After a short break for drinks and food at a local bar, we headed to the wedding reception- which was tons of fun from the very moment it started. The boys even did a little “BYE BYE BYE” rendition that was probably the best thing I’ve ever seen.
And we might have had a little too much fun with the photobooth…
Our flight was EARLY the next morning so we crashed and headed to the airport. We were flying stand-by and ended up getting stuck in the Charlotte airport for just about 7 hours. I have to say, it was not the most fun I’ve ever had, but I wouldn’t have wanted to be with anyone else but Rob. He knows how to make me laugh even at my crabbiest of times.
We also made good use of our airport experience by eating some delicious Carolina Pit BBQ and finished it off with Pinkberry! (And I’m convinced that all airports should have a Pinkberry inside– it makes layovers MUCH more tolerable.)
And lastly, I want to post this gem. Rob’s friends were all incredibly welcoming and sweet to me– and the same goes for his wonderful family! They are the sweetest people and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. I can’t wait to get back to NY soon. We miss everyone already and had the BEST time!
