Chokers are the latest trend to DIE and then come back around. But that happens to ALL trends at some point, right? I mean, we’ve seen the 70’s come and go, the 80’s make a resurgence and now, the 90’s. It was only a matter of time, right?
My favorite part about accessories? They are the EASIEST way to change the entire look of an outfit. You can take a simple daytime outfit and transform it to a night time look with the change of a necklace (or hat, scarf, whatever you feel). Pretty awesome, right?
I’ve already expressed my love of jumpsuits in previous blog posts, but let me just reiterate for you…I LOVE them! I’ll be honest, I used to be a hater, until I tried one on and gave it a chance. I mean, it’s ONE outfit. You don’t have to worry about matching a top and bottom together- slip a jumpsuit on and there you go! Ready for the day in like 1 minute!
I could probably just end my argument right there, but second to the time saving factor, a jumpsuit can leave you looking really polished- dressed up or dressed down.
What’s not to love about a kimono with some added dramatic fringe? I fell in love with this piece when I stumbled upon it at a Buffalo Exchange in Sherman Oaks a while back. Such a random find, but it’s perfect!
Best part? It transitions perfectly into fall with a pair of jeans and cute top.
The floral print and breezy silhouette makes this an easy outfit maker. I kept it super simple and layered it over a simple black knit dress and my go to summer sandals from Chinese Laundry.
I’ve got a few of these “basic” knit dresses from Forever 21, and let me just say, if you haven’t already, you should invest in at least one or two (it’s $6.90!!). Black is an obvious choice, but I also have this in an olive green color that is equally as cute and in constant rotation for me. They literally have a rainbow assortment of colors. No joke.
