Guys! My last post was all about Velvet and how it was my fav holiday trend. Well today, I’m sharing the NEXT hot trend that I am LOVING for holiday but will definitely be wearing into Spring.
E M B R O I D E R Y
Yup! Embroidered everythang…. pants, jackets, handbags, jewelry, shoes… Literally anything and everything is going to be embroidered come the Spring season. I’m not mad about it, and let me tell you why.
Chokers are the latest trend to DIE and then come back around. But that happens to ALL trends at some point, right? I mean, we’ve seen the 70’s come and go, the 80’s make a resurgence and now, the 90’s. It was only a matter of time, right?
I’m not one to live on the wild side, per say. I don’t have any tattoos, and the only piercings I have are my ears (just once!). Not that I haven’t thought about it, believe me I have, but I’m just not able to commit. What if the tattoo turns out hideous and I’m stuck with it forever? Will I like it when I’m 90 years old? What if the piercing gets infected? How bad will it hurt? So many thoughts…
I stumbled across Child of Wild on Instagram a few weeks ago and I am thoroughly obsessed! From their website, “CHILD of WILD is a brand that believes objects with past lives or cultural relevance have a depth that can be felt. In this day of accumulating “a lot of cheap” CHILD of WILD comes from the philosophy that fewer quality possessions that speak to your soul are what makes your home and life fulfilled.”
Their jewelry is eclectic and bohemian– statement necklaces, incredible headchains, and lots of arm candy. And besides ALL of that amazingness, they create and sell these EPIC cow skulls! How gorgeous are these?? They’ve inspired me to find a skull and make one of my own!
I love how they styled two necklaces together, shown above. That’s another way to make a statement- layer up, ladies!
Collar necklaces are everywhere right now and are great to pair with a cute tank top for summer. And how insane is this headchain?
I have to bring something like this to bebe!
This jeweled cow skull is gorgeous! Child of Wild has inspired me to make one of these bad boys for my apartment (luckily, Rob said these were rad AND pretty, so I got the green light). Can you imagine all of the different ways you could decorate these? Their website has a bunch of other beautiful pieces for sale.
If you like the Child Of Wild coin statement necklaces, check out this stunner coming to bebe in May!
