Fall is hereeeeee! Well, not technically here in LA. Los Angeles is still feeling 100% like Summer, 90 degree temperatures and all. I’m about over it. I’ve been dying to bust out my boots, sweaters, wear my jeans again (without sweating my ass off). I miss my Fall wardrobe!
Even if it’s still hot as hell in LA, I’ve been pretending that we’re getting cooler temps by doing a lot of online shopping! All of the stores, boutiques, brands are launching their new collections and there is so much goodness happening. I wanted to break down some of the Fall trends coming our way that I’m SO on board with, what I’m shopping for, and what I am definitely NOT (you know those trends that happen that really need to go back where they came from…).
Let’s do this…
Trend #1: STARS
Stars are everywhere this Fall and I’m sort of in love. Worship Worthy is selling these amazing star statement earrings that are the oomph that every outfit needs, in my opinion. If you look at all of the major brands, there are stars on everything. Here are my favorites.
Happy Monday, friends!! How was your weekend? Are you ready for the week ahead? I hope so!
My weekend was awesome- equal parts relaxation, adventure and fun (and hustle). Rob and I watched the two Syracuse basketball games (holy shit they were epic games, and I don’t even like sports! #converted), had a little day adventure down to Newport Beach on Saturday where we grabbed a late lunch (Bear Flag Fish Co– SO GOOD!) watched the sunset and had some drinks, and topped off the night cuddled on the couch with House of Cards.
Then Sunday started with a little coffee date with my friend Ashley in Brentwood, then took a nice walk with Rob through our neighborhood. It was so nice to just get OUT and walk around. We didn’t have a time schedule, or any rush to get home, so we just enjoyed each other and actually took the time to soak in the Spring beauty around us. The flowers in LA are popping out in full force… I love it (but my allergies don’t)!
What’s not to love about a kimono with some added dramatic fringe? I fell in love with this piece when I stumbled upon it at a Buffalo Exchange in Sherman Oaks a while back. Such a random find, but it’s perfect!
Best part? It transitions perfectly into fall with a pair of jeans and cute top.
The floral print and breezy silhouette makes this an easy outfit maker. I kept it super simple and layered it over a simple black knit dress and my go to summer sandals from Chinese Laundry.
My favorite part about summer fashion would have to be all of the fun colors you start seeing in clothes and accessories! Hues tend to get brighter, prints tend to grow bolder and hems get shorter. What else do you need?
