Happy Monday, friends!! How was your weekend? Are you ready for the week ahead? I hope so!

My weekend was awesome- equal parts relaxation, adventure and fun (and hustle). Rob and I watched the two Syracuse basketball games (holy shit they were epic games, and I don’t even like sports! #converted), had a little day adventure down to Newport Beach on Saturday where we grabbed a late lunch (Bear Flag Fish Co– SO GOOD!) watched the sunset and had some drinks, and topped off the night cuddled on the couch with House of Cards.

Then Sunday started with a little coffee date with my friend Ashley in Brentwood, then took a nice walk with Rob through our neighborhood. It was so nice to just get OUT and walk around. We didn’t have a time schedule, or any rush to get home, so we just enjoyed each other and actually took the time to soak in the Spring beauty around us. The flowers in LA are popping out in full force… I love it (but my allergies don’t)!

Two other things I want to touch on: this blanket scarf and why you need one.

This scarf was such a fun addition to my closet. I own other ponchos and cover ups, but nothing like this. It’s literally a BLANKET. Mine is made of a thicker wool/blend material, which clearly isn’t ideal as we move into Summer, but it’s great with the weather now and again for Fall.

Side note: when were taking these photos, this squirrel came up to us with NO fear. I thought he was going to jump up my leg he was so close.

Isn’t he cute?!

OK, but for real. An oversized scarf (you don’t need to go as heavy as mine) is a MUST HAVE accessory. I’ve linked some really cute styles below that are lighter weight and can be worn around the neck, around the shoulders to keep warm, or if you have something really thin you an tie it around your waist as a sarong when you go to the pool or beach.

Literally at least 3 purposes in one. BOOM.
