Tis the season to BE NICE PLEASE!
I can’t believe it’s Christmas already!! This month has flown by… this entire year, actually. I’ve been reminiscing on the past 12 months and have been trying to remember the whirl wind year this has been. I started the year working for one company, was laid off, had 6 months to work on Worship Worthy full time (amazingggggg) and now I’ve started a new adventure with another company.
And Worship Worthy has been growing and growing…. We had more sales in the shop this year than we had ever expected! I’m so thankful for the love and support from my friends and family for this blog, and my shop. I didn’t think it was possible, but here we are…
On top of that Rob and I have done so much traveling, which makes me heart so happy. Traveling allows you to make so many fun memories! This year we went to Hawaii (DYING to get back there), we went to Mexico, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, I spent time with my family in Minnesota, Rob and my best friends threw me an EPIC 30th birthday here in LA… And now we’re gearing up to go back to Mexico and spend New Years Eve with Rob’s family. My heart is so full knowing that this year was spent with loved ones and time in places near and dear to our heart.
We’ve seen friends get engaged, other friends have babies, friends get MARRIED, and on and on. It’s truly been a magical year, and I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store!
This year for Christmas we are spending it in LA, away from our families, which is always tough. But thank god we have each other. We’ve been here for the holidays the last few years, because it’s honestly so stressful to travel this time of year, not to mention expensive. We’d love to see both of our families, but since they are both a plane ride (or two) away, it’s just easier to stay put. We send our families care packages, and they send us some in return.
Rob and I have also started our own Christmas traditions, which I love. On Christmas Eve, we make a big dinner, watch Christmas movies and sip on yummy cocktails with candles burning, the tree all lit up. It’s amazing! And then on Christmas morning, we wake up and make cinnamon rolls (my family tradition that we’re carrying on….) and pour some mimosas & coffee. Then we sit in our jammies on the couch and open up presents together. It’s super fun to see what our families sent us, and it helps to ease the homesickness a bit. FaceTime with our families happen throughout the day, too. I love to see my nieces and nephews show me their presents from Santa!
I’m also trying to get us out to see Candy Cane Lane this year… if you’re in LA you have to go! Here is a link with more info if you’re interested: Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo. It’s fun to see all of the houses lit up. Definitely helps Los Angeles feel more festive, since we’re missing the snow aspect of the Holidays.
What are your holiday traditions? We’re always looking to add to ours! I’d love to know what you and your loved ones do.
OK, now to talk about my outfit really quick! I got this bodysuit at Forever 21 a while ago, and it’s currently sold out. But I did find some other options for you! And my skirt is an old H&M find, but I also found a few good ones that are currently on SALE (some of them). Lastly, my cute sneakers. Rob got these for me a few Christmas’ ago from ALDO, but again, found some similar styles for you. I love these sparkly things… they are such a fun addition to an outfit.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas with your family and a very happy and healthy New Year! See you in 2018!
