I’ve been loving date night at home during quarantine. It’s been really fun to find an excuse to get dressed up again, and I’ve had lots of fun trying to think of things for us to do. I’ve been wanting to do a round up of ideas since the beginning of quarantine, but now I’m really able to report back to you, since I’ve had lots of time to actually DO all of these activities myself.
Putting in a little extra time to dress up has been doing wonders for my mood. I’m loving wearing my sweatpants on the daily, don’t get me wrong, but it’s been nice to put on my jeans and a cute top, even if I’m only going to the backyard. Plus, gotta make sure that the jeans still fit, right? They are tiiiiiiight, y’all, but they button so I’m counting that as a win. Ha!
I’ve had these jeans and the shoes for a while now, but the top is new and I’m obsessed! The butterfly print is popping up everywhere- clothes and accessories. I didn’t have anything in my collection but when I saw this top, I knew I needed to have it.
The top is under $15 and worth every penny. I love the cowl neck, and it’s a nice silky material. If you’re interested in it though, know that it’s pretty cropped. I’ve wearing these with my high waisted jeans and it almost tucks in. You can see in the back that it doesn’t quite work all the way around, but I don’t mind.
SHOP DATE NIGHT TOPS:
Date Night Ideas:
*Game night- we have been playing all sorts of games together- from Yahtzee to Battleship (pretty much anything you can make a drinking game, BTW)
*Drive to watch the sunset- pick a spot you both love, or somewhere you’ve never been. We bring some wine and like to just relax together for a bit
*Bonfire- if you’re able to, have a fire in the backyard. I know not everyone has a yard or a fire pit, but if you CAN, this is such a fun way to chill out and connect with your partner.
*Cook together- find a recipe that you both want to try and do it together! It’s such a nice way to spend time together and you get a yummy meal out of it (hopefully).
*Wine Tasting/Cocktail tasting- set up a fun wine or cocktail tasting at home! You can easily get options at the grocery store, or you can have things delivered!
*Get outside! Take a walk, a bike ride, a hike, or even a DRIVE! It’s soooo good for the soul!
*Make a movie list- don’t we all have movies that we want to watch but never do? No time like quarantine to get through them! Right?
There are lots of other ideas on Pinterest, too!
Hope you are all staying safe, happy and healthy!
XO, Ali
