Whoa… It’s been WAY too long since my last blog post. I can’t believe it! Sometimes life gets crazy, you know? But I have made a promise that I was going to blog more and finally launch the shop, so that’s what I am going to do. Making the statement here and now. It’s been in the works, and is almost ready! There have been some technical snags along the way (making a website is NOT easy, in case you are wondering), but it’s coming soon!

Anyways, this last weekend was a GREAT one and I wanted to share some some pictures of the adventure.

Our friend Athena came to town to visit and on Saturday we ventured out to Malibu to check out Malibu Farm on the Pier for lunch (closer to “linner” by the time we got there but whatever).

The views were incredible and the food was unreal…

WHOA! It’s been a whileeeeee since I’ve posted, and it feels really overdue for many reasons. You know when life just gets away from you? That’s where I’m at right now. How is it all of a sudden JULY? Seriously, this year is flying by. There are a lot of changes coming soon and I can’t wait to share them with all of you!

I get asked questions all the time about the name of my brand- “What does Worship Worthy mean?”, “Where did you come up with the name?”, and “Is it religious?” are the most popular. I feel like with all of the great things coming up, I wanted to share some insight on where this all started for me.

This is a post I’ve been meaning to write for a long time now. It’s one of those topics close to my heart, but because of that, I haven’t really been able to find the right words. Plus, it’s hard to be vulnerable sometimes, right?

Self love is such an important thing to learn, even though sometimes it can take a while. I struggled with this for a long time and I feel like I have only recently have come into my own, AND I’M 28! What the hell, right? It’s a tricky thing, that self love. You might think you have it, but do you really FEEL it? That’s the question. (And let’s be real, somedays it’s WAY easier than others… and that’s OK).

Art has always been a passion of mine, hand in hand with my love for fashion. It’s something that is instinctively in me. With such a busy schedule, it’s hard to set aside time to really dive into a project, but when I do, it’s so rewarding. Not going to lie, I LOVE spending a quiet Friday or Saturday night inside with some wine, movies and painting. There is something about it that is therapeutic for me. It’s the perfect stress reliever.

About a year ago, Rob and I started an Etsy shop called StringHeart. We create one of a kind nail art that comes in all shapes and sizes. It was a little scary taking something that was just a hobby of mine and turning it into a business, but it’s been such a fun ride with my best friend.

I started blogging a few years ago and really had no idea what I was doing, to be honest. I had moved to LA and was working in fashion and trying to meet friends. Starting a blog was another creative outlet for me, similar to my love for painting. It was a place for me to combine all the things I enjoyed, found inspiring, or just really rad, and I wanted to share that with my family and friends.

I really wasn’t trying to gain a ton of followers or make it a “brand”. I was doing it for fun, and lucky enough, that is STILL why I blog. When it stops being fun, that’s when I know it’s time to move on. However, I have learned a lot along the way and have tested out new strategies and techniques to see what works and what doesn’t.
